One Year and Counting

Well, It's been a year since I had surgery to remove an unwelcome colony of cysts from my pancreas. For anyone who's been around me recently, you know that I'm feeling very fine and will continue to live healthfully and happily in the years to come.

I would like to take the opportunity to once again thank those who took care of me while putting up with my moaning and complaining - i.e.: Mom, Tiff, Janette, Jenifer, Shelby and Tony. I'd also like to thank Alex, Erik & Jaimi (and Makena, who was still in the womb at the time,) Tim & Julie, and Andy & Michelle for visiting me in the hospital; not to mention a multitude of selfless family members who lent support either in person or from afar.

Big ups go out to my surgeon Dr. Hobart Harris, MD. A kind man with an excellent knowledge of the pancreas and how to remove it. And lastly, Dr. Jacquie Tulsky, MD, who's graceful demeanor and compassion helped to provide invaluable emotional and medical counsel.

Have a great summer everyone, I'll see you out there.
